Basic fertility test in the male
The semen analysis measures the number and motility of spermatozoa in a semen sample, along with other parameters of seminal fluid. These parameters will give us a first diagnosis about the quality of the sperm. In the cases in which there is an alteration we will do a MSC (Mobile Sperm Count). The MSC measures the concentration of motile sperm that can be obtained from the eyaculate, and allows us to guide the couple to the most adequate reproduction treatment.
The semen sample can be produced at home or at the clinic by masturbation. If it’s produced at home it’s recommended to bring it to the clinic in less than 1 hour and transport it at body temperature (in the inside pocket of a jacket). If the sperm sample is produced at the clinic, you can do it in a room specially allocated. It is required to have 3 to 7 days of sexual abstinence before producing the sample.
It is necessary to ask for an appointment. The test can be performed Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Results will be available in 1-3 working days.
Send us your dates and time zone preferences for the appointment and we will call you to arrange it.
In case you want to be contacted by e-mail, please write it in the message.
